Solid Serrated Gasket

Primarily used on heat exchangers, turbines and valves. The gasket material ideally needs to be roughly 30 Brinell less than the flange material to ensure sufficient deformation of the gasket without damaging the flange facing. Flange surface finish is critical.

Common metals are Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel 304, 316L, 321, Soft Iron, Monel and Inconel.
